What is the Contact Collection feature?
The Contact Collection feature allows property managers and owners to collect guest contact details before granting access to their guidebooks. This helps improve communication, enhance the guest experience, and provide opportunities for future marketing.

Why use Contact Collection?
Some property managers struggle to engage with guests due to booking platforms restricting access to guest details. Airbnb and other OTAs often withhold guest email addresses, making direct communication challenging.
With Contact Collection, you can:
- Gather guest contact information before they access the guidebook.
- Send essential updates and personalised assistance during their stay.
- Collect guest details and marketing consent, enabling promotions and repeat bookings.
How it Works
- When a guest opens their guidebook, a pop-up appears requesting their contact details.
- Guests enter their First Name (mandatory), Last Name (optional), Email (mandatory), and Phone Number (optional).
- Guests can optionally opt-in to receive marketing updates about future offers by selecting the checkbox.
- Guests agree to receive essential updates related to their stay by submitting the form.
- Guests submit the form and access the guidebook immediately.
- If contact collection is mandatory, they must complete the form first.
- If optional, they can skip and proceed without providing details.
How to Enable Contact Collection
- Log in to your Touch Stay dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Preferences.
- To enable the Contact Collection feature on your guidebooks, click on the Edit button and launch the setup window.
- Configure your settings:
- Choose between mandatory or optional contact collection.
- Enable or disable marketing opt-in.
- Add a privacy policy link (required if marketing opt-in is enabled).
- Optionally customise the welcome message for guests.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Where to find the collected data from Guests
Once enabled, guest details are securely stored and can be downloaded as a CSV file from Guides > Downloads > Contact Collection.
FAQs
- Is Contact Collection mandatory?
No, you can set it to mandatory or optional, depending on your preference.
- Can guests update their details later?
Currently, guests enter their details once. If needed, you can update records manually.
- Will guests have to enter their details every time they open the guidebook?
No, once registered, they will not be asked to enter their details again on the same device.
- Can I remove the marketing opt-in checkbox?
Yes, you can disable the marketing opt-in to simplify the contact collection form.
