Topic-level content feedback explained

Want to know which parts of your guidebook guests find most helpful – and which ones might need a little love? Now you can! With topic-level content feedback, guests are asked at the end of each topic: "Did you find this useful?" – and can give a thumbs up or down to share their response. When a guest gives a thumbs down, an optional text box appears so they can leave helpful written feedback.

This feature is optional and can be enabled or disabled from your template-level Preferences in Settings. When it’s on, you’ll find feedback results in your Data Dashboard and in the Guides Downloads section of the Owner Portal.


Topic-level Feedback Overview

Topic-level feedback helps you improve your guidebook content using real guest insights.

With this feature, you can:

  • See which topics guests love – and which need improvement
  • Collect written suggestions from guests who give a 👎
  • Understand what guests are really looking for
  • Evaluate content performance at a granular level
  • Continuously improve relevance and usefulness
  • Optimise your content strategy using actual guest data

How it works

In the guidebook

  • Guests will now see a prompt under each topic:

    “Did you find this useful?” with a 👍 / 👎 option

  • If they select 👎, they’ll be shown an optional text box with a message:

    Is something missing? Is there anything not clear to you? Please, share with us so we can build a better guidebook!

    They can then leave a short comment.


In your Data Dashboard

Go to Data Dashboard → Topic Feedback

There you’ll find:

  • Thumbs up / thumbs down counts per topic
  • Number of written feedback notes per topic
  • Sorting options – by thumbs up / thumbs down counts or number of written feedback notes

In the Downloads section

Want to dig deeper into feedback?

You can now download topic-level ratings (including notes!) by heading to:

Guides → Downloads → Download content feedbacks

Here you can:

  • Filter by guidebook and date range
  • Choose CSV or XLSX format

How to enable or disable it

You can switch topic-level feedback on or off at any time from your template Preferences.

  1. Go to template level Settings → Preferences
  2. Find the Content feedback section
  3. Toggle it Enabled or Disabled

FAQs

Will guests see this on every topic?

Yes – once enabled, the thumbs up/down options appear under every topic in your guidebook.

What happens if I disable the feature later?

Guests will stop seeing the feedback options, but you’ll still be able to see and download any past data.

Does this replace the "I love this guide" feedback popup? No – this is an additional layer of feedback. The main popup still appears if you have it enabled. However, the "I love this guide" popup only appears once per guest after they’ve interacted with your guidebook for a while, while topic-level feedback is always available at the end of every topic.
