How to add external links to your guides

You can add a link to any webpage such as your website, local businesses, PDFs and other documents, or anything your readers might find useful. You can add these links as clickable text or as clickable images.

How to add an external link to a topic

Go to the topic where you want to add a link. Write the text you want to become the link, for example “this link”. Highlight that text and click the link button in the content editor toolbar.

Enter the link of the webpage you want to link to (just copy and paste everything from the bar at the top of the website page) and then choose if the link should open on the same window or new window. Click 'Save'.

You can add as many external links as you like to any topic content box. When your readers click on the links it will take them to that webpage directly.

How to create an external link as an image

You can also ad external links as clickable images. So instead of clicking on text, your readers can click on an image, just like clicking on a button on a website.

Go to the topic where you want to add a link. Upload the image you want to become the link.

Enter the link of the webpage you want the image to link to. Choose if the link should open on the same window or new window. Click 'Save'.
