What is the Email Capture Topic

Guest email capture is a Special Topic that lets you collect the email address of your guests so you can stay in touch with them after their stay and use those email addresses in your direct marketing activity.

  • Embed a simple sign-up to your newsletter in your guide where guests will see it
  • Receive notifications when emails are collected and download in one simple file
  • Use our email capture template or tailor it to your brand voice

How to add Email Capture to your guide

1 . Go to the Content Hub and choose the Category and Subcategory you want to add this Special Topic to. Click Add Topic, hover over Special Topics and then click on Email Capture Topic.

2 . Here you can edit the Topic title, Topic Content and the Topic image. 

Choose whether you want to receive an email notification each time a guest completes the form and whether you will use the email addresses provided by guests for marketing purposes:

If you select yes, you will need to drop the link to your privacy policy here. The legal status of using emails and phone numbers for marketing purposes varies widely across the world, be sure you have a suitable data privacy policy in place before collecting contact details for marketing.

3 . Scroll to the bottom of the box to choose which guides you want this Topic to show on by selecting a Tag or Tags.

How can I download all the collected responses?

Guest emails are collected in your account. You can download them all in a CSV or XLXS file from the Downloads section of the Guides page

You’ll find filters to choose the Topics, guides and time period the download is for.
