Topic-level content feedback explained

Want to know which parts of your guidebook guests find most helpful – and which ones might need a little love? With topic-level content feedback, guests are asked at the end of each topic whether it was helpful.

This feature is optional and available on some plans. When it's on, you'll find the results in your Data Dashboard.

Table of contents:

Topic-level feedback overview

Topic-level feedback helps you improve your guidebook content using real guest insights. With this feature, you can:

  • See which topics guests love – and which need improvement

  • Understand what guests are really looking for

  • Evaluate content performance at a granular level

  • Continuously improve relevance and usefulness

  • Optimise your content strategy using actual guest data

How it works

In the guidebook

  • Guidebook 2.0: under each topic, guests see “Did you find this helpful?” with Yes and No buttons. After they answer, it says “Thanks for your feedback.”

  • Legacy guidebook design: guests see “Did you find this useful?” with a 👍 / 👎 option. If they select 👎, an optional text box lets them leave a short comment.

In your Data Dashboard

Go to Data Dashboard → Summary and find the Topic feedback table. There you'll find:

  • Positive and negative feedback counts per topic

  • The number of written comments per topic

  • Sorting by those counts

Download the feedback

In the legacy Hub, you can download topic-level ratings (including comments) from Guides → Downloads → Download content feedbacks, filtered by guidebook and date range, as CSV or XLSX. This export isn't part of General settings → Downloads in the new Hub.

How to enable or disable it

In the new Hub

  1. Open Guidebooks and click Guidebook defaults.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. In the Guest engagement card, switch Content feedback on or off.

  4. Click Save Changes.

💡 This is an account-wide setting: it applies to all your guidebooks, and there's no separate switch per guidebook. If your account has only one guidebook, you'll also see it in that guidebook's Settings → Guest engagement. If your plan doesn't include content feedback, you'll see a locked banner with an upgrade link instead of the switch.

In the legacy Hub

  1. Go to template level Settings → Preferences.

  2. Find the Content feedback section.

  3. Toggle it Enabled or Disabled.

FAQs

Will guests see this on every topic?

Yes – once enabled, the feedback options appear under every topic in your guidebook.

What happens if I disable the feature later?

Guests will stop seeing the feedback options, but you'll still be able to see any past data.

Does this replace the "I love this guide" feedback popup?

No – this is an additional layer of feedback. The main popup still appears if you have it enabled. However, the "I love this guide" popup only appears once per guest after they've interacted with your guidebook for a while, while topic-level feedback is always available at the end of every topic.
