Guesty Lite Integration

Please note this integration is for those with a Guesty Lite account, not a Guesty Pro account. See Guesty for Pros Integration if you use Guesty Pro.

Guesty Lite and Touch Stay

Table of contents:

Step 1. Connect your Touch Stay & Guesty accounts

The first step to connect your accounts is to find your Guesty Integration Token. Log in to your Guesty Lite account and then click on the Integrations icon from the top navigation bar.

Guesty Integrations icon

Choose Guesty Marketplace from the drop-down menu and then use the search feature (upper left) to find "Touch Stay" and click on "Connect" from the results.

Guesty Marketplace

Finally, click on the "Connect" button at the upper right of the screen, and this will reveal your Integration Token for you to copy.

Next, in Touch Stay, go to Integrations in the left sidebar. On the Partners tab, click "Connect" underneath the Guesty logo. Select "Guesty Lite" from the next screen and then paste your Guesty Integration Token into the box and click Save.

Step 2. Match Guesty listings

Once authorised, you can match any existing Touch Stay guides to your Guesty listings. From the Match tab of the Integrations page, use the drop-downs to select the correct Guesty listing for each Touch Stay guide. When the matching is complete, click Match Selected. If you don't have any to match, then just move on to the Import tab.

Match tab

Step 3. Import Guesty listings

If you have any remaining unmatched listings from Guesty, click on the Import tab to import them into Touch Stay. Simply check the ones you want to import and click the Import Selected button.

Import tab

Touch Stay will import the following:

  • Listing Name

  • Listing Address

  • Listing Location

  • Listing photos (very small images are skipped)

Each listing imported will create a new Touch Stay guide.

Step 4. Complete guide creation (for new Touch Stay customers only)

Matching or importing listings won't automatically start syncing reservations from Guesty, so now is the time to check the content of your guides and make sure they're ready before you sync reservations with Guesty.

If you're new to Touch Stay, then check out the Getting Started page for hints and tips on the quickest way to build out your guidebook content. If you have more than 20 listings, please contact us at [email protected] to find out more about our onboarding service.

Step 5. Personalisation settings

You can connect custom field codes created in Touch Stay to data fields through the Guesty Lite integration to personalise guide details and Message Hub messages for each reservation. This will then mean any values/data for these fields set in Guesty will pass into Touch Stay and can be added to your guide content. The available fields are as follows:

  • Key Code (data type: Text)

  • Guesty Lock Manager Code (data type: Text)

  • Number of Guests (data type: Number)

  • Listing ID (data type: Text)

  • Listing Title (data type: Text)

  • Confirmation Code (data type: Text)

To connect any of these fields, go to the Map data tab on the Integrations page and click Add new mapping.

Map data tab

From here, you can select the Guesty field to connect, choose from an existing custom field code or create a new one by giving it a name and any substitute value. Substitute values are used in the case of data missing when the field code is used — see Field Codes Explained for more details about field codes.

Once the custom fields have been created, then any future reservations which sync from Guesty will have the relevant data automatically populated on the invitation record and can be used in Message Hub message templates and guide content.

Guide-level data mapping

As well as the reservation fields in Step 5, Guesty Lite can pass details from each listing into its Touch Stay guide. These are guide-level fields: the value belongs to the listing, so it is the same for every reservation at that property. All of them have the data type Text. The available fields are as follows:

  • Amenities

  • Cleaning Instructions

  • Host Name

  • House Manual

  • Parking Instructions

  • Trash Collection

  • WIFI name

  • WIFI password

  • Description fields: Summary, Space, Access, Neighborhood, Transit, Notes and Interaction With Guests

  • Check In Notes

To map one of these fields, go to the Map data tab on the Integrations page and click Add new mapping. Choose the Guesty data field, then choose a mapping type:

  • Guide custom field: links the value to a custom field code. Choose an existing custom field or click New Custom Field.

  • Topic customisation: puts the value into a Touch Stay topic for each guide. You can also set a visibility override rule to hide or show the topic depending on whether the value is blank.

Step 6. Guide sharing

There are two main ways to send your guide link to guests.

To automatically share a trackable guide link for each booking you can send email or text message to guests through Message Hub, Touch Stay's messaging tool. The bookings from Guesty will then follow your message workflow you setup and any default settings as defined by the templates that you create.

See the Message Hub help articles for how to add message templates and create a notification journey for your guests.

If you are using Guesty messaging tools to communicate with guests, you can copy and paste the relevant guide link into your Guesty message templates using the Quick share link. In the new Hub, open the guidebook, click Invite guests and copy the Quick share link (legacy Hub: the Invite & Share tab of each guide).

Step 7. Sync reservations

Once your guides are ready, you can start syncing with Guesty.

  1. Go to the Sync Reservations tab on the Integrations page (legacy Hub: Sync reservations).

  2. Choose whether to import all your future reservations or only new ones:

    • If you are new to Touch Stay and not yet using the Message Hub messaging tool, then choose All reservations.

    • If you are already using the Message Hub messaging tool, then it's best to choose New reservations only to prevent duplicated Message Hub messages being sent to reservations that are already in flight.

  3. Select the guides you want to sync using the checkboxes — Select all is at the top, next to Sync Selected — and click Sync Selected.

Sync tab

If you have selected "All reservations" then all your future dated reservations from Guesty will now be imported. All future reservations for Guesty listings matched to Touch Stay guides with the sync active will also now be imported automatically.
