Templates Explained
All your Touch Stay guide content is built around the categories, subcategories, and topics in your Content Hub. This makes it easy to share content across multiple guides, perfect if you manage properties with lots of similarities.
But what if you need a totally different type of guide with its own separate content? That's where adding a new Template comes in.
Each Template has its own:
Content Hub with unique categories, subcategories, and topics
Guides connected to that template
Message Hub, Settings, Integrations, and Data Dashboard
ℹ️ This article covers the new Hub. If you're still on the legacy Hub, see Adding New Guidebook Templates.
How to add a new Template
Click your account name in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
Select All Templates from the menu.
This opens the Templates tab under your account, showing Template Management — a table of your existing templates with their content type and number of guides.
Click Add template.
Under Select Content Hub template type, choose the template that best suits your needs.
Under Enter a name for this template, give it a name.
Click Save.
Your new template will be added to your account straight away. You can switch between templates anytime using the account switcher in the sidebar.
👉 Good to know: New templates start completely fresh — no guides, no Message Hub message templates, and all settings at their defaults, just like a brand new Touch Stay account. Once it's set up, you can start adding guides, updating your settings, and using Message Hub in the usual way.
Managing existing templates
From the Template Management table, click the ⋮ menu next to any template to:
View/Edit — open and work on that template
Duplicate template — create a copy of it
Share template — generate a link so someone else can add this template's structure to their own account (see Shared Templates Explained for details on what carries over)
Delete — remove the template
⚠️ Using a Property Management System (PMS)? Read this first.
If all your units are under the same PMS login email, it's worth knowing that each PMS integration can only be connected to one template.
Connecting the same PMS login email to a second template can cause issues like listings not matching correctly or guests not receiving the guidebook link invitations.
💡 To avoid this, keep all your units under a single template, and you'll be good to go!
