The steps to complete your integration:

  • Step 1: Connect your Touch Stay & Guesty accounts
  • Step 2: Match Guesty listings
  • Step 3: Import Guesty listings
  • Step 4: Complete guide creation (new Touch Stay customers only)
  • Step 5: Personalisation settings
  • Step 6: Sync reservations
  • Step 7: Sharing guide links through Guesty

Step 1. Connect your Touch Stay & Guesty accounts

The first step to connect your accounts, is to find your Guesty Integration Token. Login to your Guesty Lite account and then click on the Integrations icon from the top navigation bar.

Choose Guesty Marketplace from the drop-down menu and then use the search feature (upper left) to find “Touch Stay” and click on “Connect” from the results.

Finally, click on the “Connect” button at the upper right of the screen and this will reveal your Integration Token for you to copy.

Next, go to the Integrations page in your Touch Stay account go to the Integrations page. On the Partners tab click “Connect” underneath the Guesty logo. Select "Guesty Lite" from the next screen and then paste your Guesty Integration Token (from Step 1) into the box and click Save.

Step 2. Match Guesty listings

Once authorised, you can match any existing Touch Stay guides to your Guesty listings. From the Match tab of the Integration page, use the drop-downs to select the correct Guesty listing for each Touch Stay guide. When the matching is complete, click “Match Selected”. If you don’t have any to match, then just move on to the Import tab.

Step 3. Import Guesty listings

If you have any remaining unmatched listings from Guesty, click on the Import tab to import them into Touch Stay. Simply check the ones you want to import and click the “Import Selected” button.

Touch Stay will import the following:

  • Listing Name
  • Listing Address
  • Listing Location

Each listing imported will create a new Touch Stay guide.

Step 4. Complete guide creation ( for new Touch Stay customers only)

Matching or importing listings won’t automatically start syncing reservations from Guesty, so now is the time to check the content of your guides and make sure they’re ready before you sync reservations with Guesty.

If you’re new to Touch Stay then check out the Getting Started page for hints and tips on the quickest way to build out your guide book content. If you have more than 20 listings, please contact Diana using the support form to find out more about our on-boarding service.

Step 5. Personalisation settings

You can connect custom field codes created in Touch Stay to data fields through the Guesty Lite integration to personalise guide details and Memo messages for each reservation. This will then mean any values/data for these fields set in Guesty will pass in to Touch Stay and can be added to your guide content. The available fields are as follows:

  • Key Code (data type: Text)
  • Guesty Locks manager code (data type: Text)
  • Number of Guests (data type: Number)
  • Listing ID (data type: Text)
  • Listing Title (data type: Text)
  • Confirmation Code (data type: Text)

To connect any of these fields to Touch Stay head to the Custom data mapping tab on the Integrations page and click the '+Add new mapping' button.

From here you can select the Guesty field to connect, choose from an existing custom field code or create a new one by giving it a name and any substitute value. Substitute values are used in the case of data missing when the field code is used, see this article for more detail about field codes.

Once the custom fields have been created, then any future reservations which sync from Guesty will have the relevant data automatically populated on the invitation record and can be used in Memo message templates and guide content.

Step 6. Guide sharing

There are two main ways to send your guide link to guests.

To automatically share a trackable guide link for each booking you can send email or text message guests through Memo, Touch Stay's messaging tool. The bookings from Guesty will then follow your message workflow you setup and any default settings as defined by the templates that you create.

See the Memo help articles for how to add message templates and create a notification journey for your guests.

If you are using Guesty messaging tools to communicate with guests you can copy and paste the relevant guide link into your Guesty message templates using the Quick Share link that you can copy from the Invite & Share tab of each of your guide's page:

Step 7. Sync reservations

If you are using Memo, then once your guides are ready you can start syncing with Guesty.

Go to the Sync reservations tab on the Integrations page and here you can choose whether to import all your future reservations or have Touch Stay only import new reservations.

  • If you are new to Touch Stay and not yet using the Memo messaging tool then choose “All reservations”.
  • If you are already using the Memo messaging tool, then it’s best to choose “New reservations only”  to prevent duplicated Memo messages being sent to reservations that are already in flight.

Next, select the guides you want to sync using the checkboxes, or use the “Select All” option at the top right of the page to select all in one go. Click "Sync selected" to submit.

If you have selected “All reservations” then all your future dated reservations from Guesty will now be imported. All future reservations for Guesty listings matched to Touch Stay guides with the sync active will also now be imported automatically.
