How To Share Your Guide Link

There are two different types of links available for you to share your guides with guide users (your guests, event attendees, employees, etc.)

Table of contents:

Great for sharing your guides with just a few people

The Quick Share Link is a generic link that gives full, unrestricted access to all sections of your guide.

Views are not tracked per individual user; you’ll only see the total number of views for the guide.

Every guide automatically has its own Quick Share Link, which can also be downloaded as a QR code for easy sharing.

Copy this link and paste it into your existing communication workflow, such as emails or message templates in Airbnb, Vrbo, MailChim,p etc.

  1. On the Guides page

Click the three dots menu on the right-hand side of the guide panel, then select Copy Share Link.

  1. On the Guide Level

  • Go to the Guides page
  • Click the guide name you want to share.

Select the Invite & Share tab.

Click the copy icon next to the guide link to copy it.

Paste the link into your existing communication workflow — for example:

    • Emails
    • Airbnb or Vrbo message templates
    • Mailchimp campaigns

  1. On the Preview Guide tool

You can also grab your guide link from the Preview Guide tool.

From either the Guide page or the Content Hub, open the Preview Guide tool.

On the right-hand side of the screen, click Copy Link to copy your guide’s link

💡 Tip:

To share your guide on-site, click Create QR code to generate a QR code for your guide.

Print the QR code and place it somewhere visible, for example, in your rental property, event hall, or classroom, so guests or visitors can easily scan and access your guide.

You can also use our free Canva template designs to create a professional printout for your QR code.

💡 Managing multiple guides?

If you’d like to download all your Quick Share Links in one go, check out this article for step-by-step instructions. We’ll walk you through the whole process!

How to download a list of all your Quick Share links

  1. Shorten your links

Shorten your Quick Share Link using a link shortening service like tinyurl.com

  1. Brand your links

There are two ways you can brand or  apply your business name to your Quick Share Link

  • Create a redirect from your website. Check with your website provider to see how to use their redirect feature. Most providers like GoDaddy, Cloudflare and WP Engine allow this.
  • Create a custom subdomain. See how to do this here
  1. Add a custom sub-domain

The default domain for your guide links is guide.touchstay.com. If you have your own website and would prefer your links to use a domain that you own, you can set that up by modifying some DNS settings and then adding that to Touch Stay. See how to do that here.

Note: You can also create QR Codes for your Quick Share Link easily by following this article and using our Canva templates for it as well.

Great for sharing your guides with lots of people

Invitation links are unique links created for specific guide users, and views per user are tracked. Invitation links can be automatically created through one of our PMS integrations, through CSV file upload or manually, one by one. These links can be customised by date (period within which the guide is visible to the user) or to limit visibility of guidebook sections.

Once created, these links can be automatically sent to guide users with Touch Stay's Message Hub or manually pasted into your existing communication workflow. (If you use a PMS, Invitation Links can be automatically sent to the PMS's unified inbox)

  1. Go to Message Hub → Invitations and click Invite by link.
  2. Fill in the details of the person you want to create the link for.
    • If you’d like the link to expire after a certain time, use the Lead Time box to set a time limit.
    • If you do not want the link to expire, choose 'Unlimited', then click 'Save'.

Copy and Share Your Invitation Link

  1. Click the three dots menu to the right of the invitation and select Copy link.
  2. Paste the link into your existing communication workflow, for example, in emails, Airbnb or Vrbo message templates, or Mailchimp campaigns.

You can also see how many views the link has received on the same page.

How to automatically send out invitation links

Now that you know how to create custom links for each guide user, you can use automations to send these links without having to do it manually each time. There are 3 ways to do this:

  1. Message Hub - Touch Stay's messaging assistant

Use Message Hub to send email or text messages to your guide users using our existing message templates or create your own. Message Hub is free and easy to use and is a great solution if you need to send your guides to multiple people. See how to use Message Hub here.

  1. Use one of our PMS integrations

Touch Stay integrates with multiple property management software (PMS) providers. If you are a property manager using a PMS we integrate with, you can automatically send custom guide links to each guest through your PMS unified inbox. See how to set up a connection to your PMS here.

  1. Use our Airbnb integration

Touch Stay integrates with Airbnb via Hospitable Connect. You can automatically send custom guide links to each Airbnb guest through the Airbnb inbox. See how to set up the Airbnb connection here.
