How to change the display name of a Google Place

Google Places can have their names changed just like any other topic.

Table of contents:

In the new Hub

  1. Open the Google Place: in your guidebook's Guidebook Content tab, click it to select it and click again to open the editor, or click (⋯) → Edit. You can also open it from Account library → Content Hub.

  2. Go to the Content tab and change the Title.

  3. Click Save Changes.

⚠️ If you later pick a different place on the Google Place tab, the title resets to the new place's name, so rename it again afterwards.

In the legacy Hub

  • Use the Edit pencil next to the title of the Google Place you want to change.

  • Alternatively, use the “Edit Topic” option in the 3 dots menu for that Topic.
