What is the Share guide tab in Integrations?

Once you connect an integration, the Integrations page gets a Share guide tab. It explains how to send your guide links to guests for that integration. This article covers what the tab shows and why it looks different from one integration to the next.

Table of contents:

Where to find the Share guide tab

Before you start

  • Integrations is available on some plans. If your plan doesn't include it, the Integrations page shows an upgrade prompt.

  • You need a connected integration. Until you connect one, the Integrations page only shows the Partners tab.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Integrations. Touch Stay opens the Match tab for your connected integration.

  2. Click the Share guide tab, between Map data and Sync Reservations.

The tab is for information only. There is nothing to switch on or save on it.

When the tab asks you to choose how to share

For some integrations the heading reads Choose how to share your guides: and the tab shows two options side by side.

Use Memo

Memo is the older name for Message Hub. This option sends trackable guide links to your guests through Message Hub, using email or SMS templates that pull in booking details from your integration. Click the Memo link on the tab to open your message templates, or go to Messaging & Chat → Templates.

Use Quick Share link

A Quick Share link is a fixed link for each guidebook that you send through your existing communication method. To copy it, go to Guidebooks, pick the guidebook, click Invite guests and click Copy next to Quick share link.

When the tab shows automatic link sharing

For other integrations the heading reads How to share your guides: and the tab shows Configure automatic guide link sharing. It explains that:

  • Touch Stay generates a unique guide link when a new booking is received from your integration.

  • You then set up your property management system's message templates to include that link, so it goes out automatically with every future booking.

For most integrations the tab says Touch Stay sends the link through to your property management system as a short code. A few integrations use their own wording, for example a custom field that you add to your templates as a merge code. The tab usually ends with a link to the help article for your integration, which opens in a new browser tab and has the exact steps.

Good to know

  • Which version of the tab you see depends on your integration, so it can differ from what another host sees.

  • The tab doesn't change any settings. You set up the messages in Message Hub or in your property management system.
