The Quick Share link explained

What the Quick Share link is, where to find and copy it, how to make it more user-friendly with a custom slug, sub-domain or your own domain, and when to use personal invitation links instead.

ℹ️ This article covers the new Hub. On the legacy Hub, you'll find the Quick Share link on your guide's Invite & Share tab.

Each guidebook has its own unique link called the “Quick Share” link. It's the same link for everyone who opens it, which makes it a fast and easy way to send guests your guidebook, particularly if you have a large business with lots of guests.

Table of contents:

Using the Quick Share

You simply copy the Quick Share link and send it! Or, if you have a PMS or email workflow/template, just place the Quick Share link into that process so that you don’t have to keep copy/pasting it to future guests.

Where to Find the Quick Share

  1. Open Guidebooks and choose the guidebook in the Editing guidebook dropdown.

  2. Click Invite guests, next to the guidebook selector.

  3. Under Quick share link, click Copy.

If you have several guidebooks, you can download all your Quick Share links at once as a CSV or XLSX file from General settings → Downloads → Quick Share Links to your Guides.

Can I Make the Quick Share Link More User-friendly?

Yes. Depending on your plan, you can:

  • Choose a custom slug or sub-domain for a guidebook — in the guidebook's Settings tab, under Guidebook access → URL format, choose Custom slug (for example a link ending in /beach-retreat) or Custom Sub-domain.

  • Use your own domain for all your guide links — for example guides.yourdomain.com. This is set once for your whole account under General settings → Custom domain. See How to set up a custom domain for your guide links.

If your plan doesn't include these options, you'll see an upgrade notice in their place. For more ideas, such as short links and QR codes, see Can I create a branded Quick Share custom link to my guide?

A Few Important Notes

  1. The Quick Share link shows your full guide, including topics set to "Visible only during the stay". If your guide contains secure information such as door codes, create a personal invitation link for each guest instead — see How to share only part of your guide and How to create a guest invitation.

  2. A guest who has checked out will still be able to view the guidebook with the Quick Share link. This is no different from sending them a PDF or information by email — we just want you to be aware!

  3. The Quick Share link can be a very effective lead generation tool. Some of our customers include it in their replies to guests who have asked about a stay but haven’t yet booked. This differentiates you from the other people a guest may have contacted and can help boost your conversion.
