How to create an AI-generated guidebook from your Airbnb listing after sign-up (Legacy hub)

Learn how to generate a Touch Stay guidebook from your Airbnb or Booking.com listing in the legacy Hub after sign-up: import your listing, choose your content, edit it and preview your guidebook before sharing it with guests.

ℹ️ This article covers the legacy Hub. In the new Hub, see How to import a guidebook from Airbnb or Booking.com.

If you skipped the AI guidebook generation during sign-up, don’t worry, you can still create a guidebook using your Airbnb or Booking.com listing at any time.

This feature allows Touch Stay to automatically import information from your listing and generate a guidebook structure for you.

Before you start

If you are on a trial account, or your plan only covers one guide, you may first need to delete your existing guide before creating a new AI-generated one.

ℹ️ Deleting a guide doesn't remove it permanently. You can restore it later, as long as your plan has a free guide slot. See How to delete/archive and restore a guide (Legacy hub).

Step 1: Delete your existing guide

  • Go to the Guides page.

  • Click the three dots menu on the right-hand side of the guide row.

  • Select: Delete guide

Step 2: Create a new guide

  1. While still on the Guides page, click + Add guide at the top right-hand side of the page. You'll see the ways to start:

    • Start with Online listing (offered for Short-term rental, B&B/Inn/Lodge, Glamping, Camping and Hotel/Resort accounts)

    • Clone existing guidebook (only once you have at least one guide)

    • Start from scratch

  2. Under Start with Online listing, click: Start with URL

You can use either an Airbnb listing URL or a Booking.com listing URL.

Step 3: Add your listing URL

Paste your Airbnb or Booking.com listing link into the import field and click Next.

Touch Stay will then automatically fetch information from your listing. This usually takes 15–20 seconds.

Step 4: Review your property details

Once the import is complete, you’ll be able to review and update your property information before generating the guidebook. This includes:

  • Cover photo

  • Property name

  • Check-in information

  • Amenities

  • Wi-Fi details

  • House policies

When ready, click: Next: Content

Step 5: Choose how to create your content

You can now choose:

  • Re-use content from existing guidebook: select the guidebook closest to this property. The parts it shares with that guidebook stay synced.

  • Use listing data only: builds fresh content from your listing only, ignoring the content in your Content Hub.

⚠️ If you are on a trial account or only have one guide, we recommend selecting: Use listing data only

This creates a fresh guidebook using only the imported listing information.

When ready, click Next: Generate content.

Step 6: Add missing field codes (if asked)

If your content uses field codes that don't have values yet, you'll see One last thing... with Add missing Field codes. Enter the values listed and click Proceed, or click Skip.

Touch Stay then generates your guidebook. This typically takes 25–30 seconds, or a little more.

💡 Don’t worry if you are not completely sure what content to keep at this stage. You can always add, edit, or remove content later.

Step 7: Review and edit your guidebook

Once your guidebook has been generated, you will land on:

  • Guide Page → Guide Details tab

From here, you can update details such as:

  • Guide name

  • Contact details

  • Property address

  • Branding and colours

  • Cover image

Step 8: Edit guidebook content in Content Hub

To edit the actual content of your guidebook, click Content Hub from the left-hand sidebar.

Inside the Content Hub, your guide content is organised into:

  • Categories

  • Subcategories

  • Topics

This structure makes it easy to manage and organise your content. From here, you can:

  • Add new content

  • Upload images

  • Update instructions

  • Edit recommendations

  • Create new sections

  • Remove content you no longer need

💡 Tip: Any updates you make in the Content Hub will automatically update your guidebook.

📚 To learn more about how the Categories, Subcategories, and Topics structure works, please see this article: Guidebook structure explained: Categories, subcategories and topics

Step 9: Preview your guidebook

To review how your guidebook will appear to guests, click: Preview Guide

This will open your guidebook in a new browser tab.

We also recommend previewing your guidebook on mobile, as most guests will use it this way during their stay.

Previewing your guide allows you to:

  • Check the layout and design

  • Review your content

  • Test navigation

  • Confirm images display correctly

  • Experience the guide exactly as your guests will see it

If you would like to make changes, simply return to the Guide Details page or Content Hub to continue editing.
