The Useful info widget lets you select relevant content to display from your account library, so your existing guidebook content — house rules, appliance guides, local tips — reaches a Timeline moment.
What it does
Useful info lets you pick which subcategories from your guidebook appear in a moment. The topics inside each subcategory follow the same order they already have in your guidebook.
How to set it up
Open a moment and select the Useful info widget (add it via More widgets if it isn't already there, then select Edit).
Use Search for a subcategory to include… to find and add subcategories.
Your chosen subcategories appear under DISPLAYED SUBCATEGORIES — reorder or remove them as needed.
Optionally, give the widget a custom title.
Select Save Changes.
Good to know
Useful info works at the subcategory level only — you can't pick individual topics.
Select the search box without typing anything to browse your subcategories.
The topics inside a subcategory still follow their own display rules, so a guest only sees the ones that apply to them.
If you haven't added any subcategories yet, the widget shows a warning that it doesn't contain any items.
Saving replaces the widget's whole list of subcategories, so add everything you want in one go.
If a subcategory or topic is later deleted from your guidebook, it's automatically dropped from the timeline.
Why this is better: Hosts reuse guidebook content they've already written instead of retyping it for the timeline.
