If you have guidebooks on both the new and legacy design, you might see two different ways of collecting guest details. Here's how they differ.
What it does
Guest Registration is the guest check-in built into the redesigned guidebook — available only on guidebooks using Guidebook 2.0. Contact Collection is the earlier pop-up form still used on guidebooks with the legacy design.
A guidebook uses one or the other, not both. Opening Guest Registration settings on a guidebook that's still on the legacy design shows a gate card — "Guest Registration is available in New guidebook only" — with a link to switch designs.
Good to know
Guest Registration lets you ask for more — including ID details for authority reporting — and lets you mark exactly which fields are required.
Switching a guidebook to Guidebook 2.0 is required before you can set up Guest Registration on it. Do this from General settings → Guidebook experience, where you select the Guidebook 2.0 card (the switch applies to your whole account).
