Turn on or adjust Guest Registration for a guidebook so guests can check in before they see your content.
Before you start
Your guidebook must use Guidebook 2.0 (General settings → Guidebook experience → select Guidebook 2.0). Guest Registration isn't available on the legacy design.
How to set it up
Open your guidebook and go to Guest Registration in the side navigation.
If you see an intro screen, select Set up Guest Registration. If you see the settings card instead, Guest Registration is already on for your account. Skip to the next step.
Make sure the toggle for Guest personal info & stay details is on. This is what asks guests for their contact and stay details.
Select Form settings on that row to choose exactly which fields are required, then Save.
If you also need identification for authority reporting, turn on Guest Identification, select its Form settings, and Save.
Good to know
The status pill on the Guest personal info & stay details row reads Disabled, Enabled - Optional, or Enabled - Required. The Guest Identification row reads Disabled, Enabled - Only main guest, or Enabled - All guests.
Guest Identification needs Guest personal info & stay details turned on first.
New accounts start with Guest Registration on and Guest personal info & stay details set to Optional. On older accounts, selecting Set up Guest Registration switches it on for your whole account, wherever you press it. From there you can leave each guidebook on your account defaults or give it its own settings.
The toggles on the card save as soon as you switch them. Field choices inside Form settings are saved when you select Save.
Owners, admins, team admins and editors can change these settings. Viewers can see them but not edit them.
Use the Notifications and Data processing links at the bottom of the page to set your account's notification and data-use rules.
Why this is better: Walks a host through activation end to end instead of leaving them to guess what each toggle does.
