Table of contents:
ℹ️ This article covers the new Hub. If you're still on the legacy Hub, see How to reorder content in Content Hub.
Where your content order lives
The order of your categories, subcategories and topics is set once for your whole account, in your Account library. Every guidebook then shows your content in that same order.
That's why the Guidebook Content tab inside a guidebook doesn't let you drag anything. It shows only the content matching that guidebook's tags, so reordering there would change the order for your other guidebooks too.
How to get there:
Click Account library in the left sidebar.
Open Content Hub.
How to reorder categories
Categories appear to your guests in the order you set here.
Hover over the category you want to move. A grip of small dots appears on the left, in place of the category icon.
Click and hold the grip.
Drag the category up or down to its new position, then release it.
Everything inside the category moves with it, including its subcategories and topics.
👉 Good to know: the new order saves as soon as you drop the category, so there's no save button to press. If a change can't be saved, the previous order comes back and you'll see a message telling you it failed.
How to reorder subcategories and topics
Subcategories and topics work the same way, with a slim grip on the left of each row.
What you're moving | Where you can move it |
Category | Up or down among your other categories |
Subcategory | Within its category, or into a different category. Its topics move with it |
Topic | Within its subcategory, or into a different subcategory |
💡 Tip: put the topics your guests need first, such as check-in details and Wi-Fi, at the top of your first category. Guests rarely scroll far.
Why can't I drag anything?
There are two reasons the grips won't appear or won't work:
You're in a Guidebooks rather than your Account library. Ordering is switched off on a guidebook's Guidebook Content tab. Go to Account library > Content Hub instead.
A search or tag filter is active. Dragging is switched off while your content is filtered, because you'd only be moving part of it. Clear the search box and any tag filters, and the grips come back.
