Your guide’s Map tab will automatically add a blue home pin located at the guide address. If you want to add additional pins to the map for information, or recommendations of local places to visit, you have 2 options:
Option 1: Using our Google Places integration
This will not only add a pin, but will also add lots of other information listed on Google for that place (e.g. website, telephone number, photo, etc). For more details please read this Knowledge Base article.
Option 2: Manually add a pin to a topic you’ve created
Using this option you can add a pin to the map for any topic you’ve created. It works like this:
- In Content Hub, either use the edit pencil, or the “Edit Topic” option in the 3 dots menu for the topic you want to add the location pin to.
- This opens the Edit Topic screen, scroll down to the Manual Location section and use the “Add location” button.
- Move the red map pin to the desired location, you can type an address to get close or just drag the pin around the map. If you have the exact lat/lon coordinates, then just enter them in the relevant boxes.
- Choose a map pin style and click Save.
