Why aren’t all my categories and subcategories showing up in my guide?
Categories and Subcategories need to be given Topics before they will show up in the guide, empty categories and subcategories won’t display in the guest view. If you’ve recently signed up and the local area section isn’t showing, then most likely you just need to add some topics to it, the Google Places feature is the easiest way to build out your local area guide section.
To learn more about the Categories, Subcategories, and Topics, take a look at this article.
If your Category and Subcategory have a Topic added in Content Hub but they still won’t show in the guide then check if those topics have an active Tag. If you are on a single guide account, then it’s just the green “All Guides” tag (on older accounts yours may be called “Tag 1”) icon seen in Content Hub – open the “Edit topic” options in the 3 dots menu for that topic and check the Tags section: click the Tag icon to toggle between active (full colour) and inactive (greyed out).
If you have more than 1 guide then you need to ensure the Tags match between the topic (as set in Content Hub) and the guide (as set on the individual Guide Content page). See these articles for help in managing multiple guides.
