How to add a Tripadvisor review icon to a topic

Any regular or Google Place topic can have a Tripadvisor icon linking to reviews for a place that you're recommending, such as your own property or another business.

Add a Tripadvisor link in the new Hub

  1. Open the topic in your guidebook's Guidebook Content tab.

  2. Go to the topic's Advanced tab.

  3. Paste the full Tripadvisor review URL into Tripadvisor review link.

  4. Save the topic.

💡 Only Tripadvisor links starting with https:// are accepted — any other link is shown as invalid and the topic won't save until you fix it. Leave the field empty if you don't want a review link.

ℹ️ Widget topics (such as Weather, Tide, Viator, Star rating, First impression and Email capture) don't have an Advanced tab, so they can't hold a Tripadvisor link.

Add a Tripadvisor link in the legacy Hub

Copy and paste the relevant Tripadvisor review link into the Tripadvisor link box below the content editor in the topic window. The link is saved for the language currently selected in the window. If you leave the box blank, no badge will display.

What guests see

  • Guidebook 2.0: a Tripadvisor action with an icon and a text label appears below the topic text.

  • Legacy design: a Tripadvisor icon button appears alongside the other topic actions.

Either way, it only appears when the topic has a Tripadvisor link.
