Rename your guidebook's tabs to match how you talk to guests, and hide the map if you don't want it. The options depend on your guidebook design: Guidebook 2.0 or the legacy design.
Table of contents:
Where to find it
Open Guidebooks from the left sidebar and select your guidebook.
Click the Settings tab.
Scroll to the Tabs card.
Guidebook 2.0
Edit the names of the Front page tab, Guidebook content tab, Store tab and Assistant tab. Each name can be up to 12 characters.
To hide the map, switch off Map Tab under Display in guidebook?. This hides the Local guide card from the guidebook's Info tab.
Click Save Changes.
💡 Guidebook 2.0 has no separate Map tab in the bottom bar, so there's no Map tab name to edit.
Legacy design
Edit the Tab name field for the tab you want to rename: Front page tab, Guidebook content tab, Map Tab, Store Tab or Search Tab. Each name can be up to 8 characters.
If your guidebook supports more than one language, switch language at the top of the card and repeat. Tab names are set per language.
To hide the map, switch off Display in guidebook? next to Map Tab.
Click Save Changes.
Good to know
On the legacy design, Map Tab is the only tab you can hide here. Front page tab, Guidebook content tab and Search Tab are always shown, so their Display in guidebook? toggles are fixed on.
The Store Tab toggle isn't editable in this card. It reflects whether your store is switched on for the account.
Renaming a tab only changes its label; it doesn't change what's inside it.
On the legacy design, the Property info tab shows whether the Map tab is currently visible or hidden, with a link back to these settings.
In the legacy Hub
If you still use the legacy Hub, see How to rename the tabs in the guest/user view (Legacy hub) and How to hide the Map tab from your guide.
