Going back to the legacy Hub can also move your account back to the Legacy design for guidebooks. This article explains what changes, what stays the same, and how to turn Guidebook 2.0 back on.
Table of contents:
What happens when you switch back
In the New Hub, click Switch to legacy hub at the bottom of the left sidebar. If the sidebar is collapsed, hover over it to see the label.
In the Before you switch back window, rate How close does the new Hub match your expectations? with the stars. The rating is required. You can also add a comment under Tell us about your experience.
Click Submit. You land in the legacy Hub.
If you're an Owner, Admin or Team Admin, your account's guidebook design also goes back to Legacy design at that moment.
The change applies to the whole account you're working in. All of its guidebooks move back together, not only the one you were editing. The Hub describes the Legacy design as the classic, wiki-like guidebook without smart content widgets.
💡 If you're an Editor or Viewer, switching Hub only changes the Hub you see. Your account's guidebook design stays as it is.
What you'll notice in the New Hub
When you return to the New Hub, you'll see these changes:
Under General settings → Guidebook experience, Legacy design is the selected option.
A guidebook's Timelines tab shows Timelines are available in New guidebook only with an Explore New guidebook button, instead of your Timelines. The Guest Registration tab does the same with Guest Registration is available in New guidebook only.
Under General settings, Guest data processing and Notifications are no longer listed.
The Appearance tab switches back to its legacy cards, and Contact collection is shown again under Settings → Guest engagement.

What stays the same
Your guidebook content, topics and categories are not deleted or changed.
Your guidebook links, QR codes and invitations are not deleted or changed.
Your Timelines and Guest Registration settings are kept, not deleted. They sit behind the prompts above until you turn Guidebook 2.0 back on.
How to get Guidebook 2.0 back
Switching back to the New Hub does not turn Guidebook 2.0 on again. You do that from General settings.
In the legacy Hub, click Switch to new hub at the bottom of the left sidebar.
In the New Hub, go to General settings → Guidebook experience.
On the Guidebook 2.0 card, choose which features to turn on with it: Timelines, Guest Registration and Dark mode.
Click Select on the Guidebook 2.0 card. You'll see a confirmation, and the card now shows Selected.
💡 Afterwards, check your colour theme under Appearance → Branding: Logo, Colors & Fonts → Color theme. Auto - Guest preference is the recommended option.

Good to know
Only Owners, Admins and Team Admins can change the guidebook design. For other roles the options on the Guidebook experience page are greyed out.
To keep Guidebook 2.0, stay in the New Hub.
You can also move back to the Legacy design on purpose, without leaving the New Hub, by clicking Select on the Legacy design card under General settings → Guidebook experience.
