Table of contents:
How to change your login email or password
To change your account login email address or password:
In the left-hand sidebar, click your account name/avatar at the bottom (e.g. "Connie" / "Demo Touch Stay").
In the panel that opens, click Profile.
On the Profile page, find the Login Details card.
What you see in the Login Details card depends on how you log in:
If you log in with a Touch Stay email and password, you'll see two separate buttons: Change Login Email and Change Password. Click the one you need to update that detail.
If you log in using Single Sign-On (SSO), such as "Sign in with Google," you'll instead see a single View Login Email button. Your password is managed entirely by your SSO provider (e.g. your Google account), not by Touch Stay, so there's no password option here — you'd need to change your password through your Google (or other provider) account directly.
Note: Replies from support as well as any service updates are sent to the email address linked to your login.
If you have forgotten your password then you will need to use the 'Forgotten password?' link on the login page.
Still says "invalid" after resetting your password?
If you completed a password reset but logging in still says your credentials are wrong, the most common cause is your phone or browser's built-in password manager (such as iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, or a browser's save-password prompt). These can auto-generate or auto-fill a different, random password into the reset form without you noticing, which means the password saved on your account may not match the one you're typing in manually.
To fix this:
Check your device's saved passwords (on iPhone: Settings > Passwords; on Android or in your browser: your browser's saved password manager) and search for "Touch Stay" or "touchstay". If a saved password appears there that's different from what you've been typing, try logging in with that one instead.
If that doesn't work, use the 'Forgotten password?' link again, and when the new-password field appears, manually type your own password rather than accepting any auto-fill or auto-generated suggestion from your device.
If you're still unable to log in after trying both steps, please contact [email protected] and we'll reset it manually for you.
"This email is already in use" when trying to change your login email
If you try to set your login email to an address and get an "already in use" error, that means there's already a Touch Stay account registered with that email — most often from an old trial or a second account created by mistake.
Since it's an email address you have access to, you can get into that account yourself:
Go to the login page and log in with that email address.
Don't know the password? Use 'Forgotten password?' — since you have access to that inbox, you can reset it and get straight in.
Once you're in, you have two options:
If that's the account you actually want to keep using, just carry on there.
If you'd rather consolidate everything onto your other account, delete this one to free up the email — see How to permanently delete your Touch Stay account. Once it's deleted, the email is free, and you can set it as the login on your other account.
