How to get there
Open the Guidebooks section from the left sidebar.
Select the guidebook you want to edit (or use the "Editing guidebook" dropdown to switch to it).
Click the Guidebook Content tab.
Understanding the layout
Pane | What it does |
Left pane (editor) | Displays your full category, subcategory and topic tree. This is where you add, edit, reorder and remove content. |
Right pane (live preview) | Shows a real-time view of how guests will see your guidebook. Updates automatically as you make changes. |
You no longer need to navigate away to check how your guidebook looks β the preview is always right there.
Your content structure
Guidebook content is organised into three levels:
Level | What it is | Examples |
Categories | Top-level sections that create the main menu in your guidebook | Welcome, About the Accommodation, Local Area Guide |
Subcategories | Sit within categories and appear as subheadings | Restaurants, Things to Do, Shops |
Topics | Sit within subcategories β this is where your actual content lives (text, photos, videos, links) | How to Use the Coffee Machine, WiFi / Internet Details, Beach Access Information |

Click and hold the drag handle on the left side.
Drag the item to its new position β a line indicator shows you exactly where it will land.

What you can move:
Categories β drag up or down to change the order on your guidebook's home screen. All subcategories and topics within them move too.
Subcategories β drag to reorder within a category. The topics inside move with them.
Topics β drag to reorder within a subcategory or move to a different subcategory or category entirely.
π‘ Note: Topics or sections that contain shared content (content from the Account library used across multiple guidebooks) are locked and cannot be dragged. This prevents accidental reordering that would affect other guidebooks.
